The walk to the rock seemed to somehow both take forever, and yet happen all to fast. The coppery red wolf just sighed as he was led up by his brother and father. Words had been spoken between the two and yet they had been more a buzzing in Kyren's ears. His head swirled with depressing thoughts, losing to his brother, father's disgust in him, losing sight in his left eye, and of course going to be sold off as a slave.
A shake of his head as he climbed the rock, biting back a snarl at himself. Had he been able to do it again, he would have made the same decision and still winded up in this horrid predicament. Slave! The word seemed a disgusting joke.
Only as father and brother turned to leave did Kyren finally speak, noticing that neither felt a need to say goodbye to him. "I'll do this, but I will also have my revenge, enjoy your power while you can brother." The soft fierceness in his voice spoke of the sincerity in those words, and the desire to have it filled now.
The older wolf, with gray on his muzzle and larger than the other two paused but didn't bother to turn around, waiting for whatever was to come. This was a quarrel among brothers.
The younger, with a rich red coat spun around and started to snarl then paused, and a vicious grin came to that muzzle, "I will dear brother, think of me as often as you like, as often as you can remember to think." He took another step then paused with another thought, "oh, and enjoy seeing life through just one eye." With that the pair walked off, leaving their packmate to be turned into a slave.
Kyren shivered with rage, but he had agreed to this deal. Oh how he wanted to at least kill his brother before he carried through with this crap! It was hard to focus his mind to pay attention to the present instead of dreams, one way of proving how upset he was.
Seeing another wolf, one of the brutes by the look of it, walking towards him he worked to gain more control of himself. The brute was staring at him, and with tense neck muscles Kyren forced his gaze to turn away. "Mind your place slave, or we will teach you to mind your place."
Kyren felt his lip twitch wanting to expose his teeth, but with effort he kept his muzzle shut and nodded ascent. Those black tipped ears twisting back, and delicate muzzle dipped downwards in assent. He'd behave, for now as much as he could manage at least.
Kyren raised his eyes a few moments later, the wolf had left him to deal with another new wolf who was arriving. Kyren had gotten lucky. Some luck, he was still here. Sitting up straight, head arched nobly he waited for what would happen. "Well Kyren," he muttered to himself, "now what?" Thus the lone ethiopen wolf had only one answer, "look for opportunity."

KASIMIRA It was a hot sticky day as the female paroled the Auktion grounds, fur bristling slightly at the scent of the place. Kasimira had thought, when she had first ventured here, that possibly the smell would diminish with time; she would become to used the stench that reeked around her. And here she stood, corrected. Disgusting creatures. Not even fit to grovel at my paws. It was a prideful, inward remark and one that jogged her memory on her purpose here.
Now that she had dutifully claimed four females--well, four should she win the fight against Phantom--and one male, the queen decided it was time for a new, more masculine face on the Irrsin grounds. Sure, Zy was cute, but as he had spoken himself, two she-wolves did not make a harem. Or for that case, a pack. It was with dignity that Kasimira strolled across the grounds, her blue eyes searching for a wolf that didn't seem to be as whipped into shape as the rest.
The black vixen finally noticed him. As the sunlight hit his fur it was a blazing red hue, striking. Kasimira coolly made her way over to him, contemplating his future with her. He seemed reasonable enough; as a guard had moved him along he had complied with unreserved obedience. Perfect.
"I'll take him."
Kasimira strutted to the front of the growing crowd, her eyes daring anyone to refuse her from her prey. No wolf moved to challenge her. It was as usual; apparently, although Kasimira made no note of such a thing, female dominors were hard to find. Who knew? With a flick of her bushy tail the Alpha roughly nudged him along, an insistent motivator.
"Come on now, I haven't got all day!"
With a snarl she picked up the lead, trotting away to a quieter place to discuss the specifics of his life under her command. It was then that she noticed his eye. It was tragic, that he was blind in one eye, for Kasimira recoiled inwardly. Had it been a mistake to claim him? It would not look very intimidating to the other Alphas if she had chosen this as her pack's future.
Kasimira considered him thoughtfully for a moment, blue eyes scanning the rest of him. Then again, his appearance was already rugged beyond normal degree. Maybe it would install fear into her enemies, how vicious and destructive her sklavin must be to lose sigh in one eye. Hmm. It would half to do. The female's pride held her from returning him; she would not be the comedy of the day.
"I am Queen Kasimira, sole Alpha of the pack known as Irrsin. You will address me with a title--such as Lady, or Miss--in front of my name. Never just my name."
The effect of her slaves never calling her by her regal name was a subject the she-wolf insisted upon, almost religiously. She would not be downgraded to this whimpering male's level. He would remain in his rightful place and she in hers.
"Now, what is your name?"
It was a smirk that wired onto her face, waiting for his response. Stupid brutes.

Kyren’s eyes floated amongh the wolves walking around, trying to take a few moments studying each one. This was as much to learn what he could about the wolves as it was to keep his mind from focusing on how bad the situation was he’d ended up in. It had been several minutes before he’d noticed the smell, something of which now was somewhat surprising when he realized just how bad the smell was. For all he liked to keep his emotions out of things when possible, he’d been drowing in them since he’d lost his fight.
His eyes found Kasimira with some surprise as he watched her looking over the slaves, yet another surprise. A female? With so many males out here searching for slaves, and yet there she was and the other dominor’s did not seem to question her presence. When her eyes settled on him Kyren stretched out his neck, head tilted ever so slightly down, and his one good amber eye watching her, the other staring straight ahead sightlessly.
"I'll take him."
This was good, if a female chose to want him it might be easier to win her confidence. Once you win someone’s confidence it becomes much easier to gain what you want. Foolish slaves, those who truly deserved the foul place he’d found himself in, so often either had no drive to escape or thought the only means was to run away. No, he would not take a direct route, but carefully find a weakness in her and in her pack to exploit.
When she came up next to him his head turned to follow hers, and as she moved to push at him he’d been in the process of starting to stand up. His eyes started to slant in annoyance, and at least he had the wisdom to turn his head in front of him to not show off this irritation at her treatment of him. For now he had to learn to accept this, it was going to take a lot of work.
"Come on now, I haven't got all day!"
He responded with cocking his head to one side and the slightest nod of acknowledgement. He trotted after her, his good eye locked on her every moment, searching her stride for weakness, watching for any openings that might work for him in the future. When they stopped and she looked at his eye, tension rolled through his own muscles, his head twitching away slightly showing his own disgust at what he would now have to live with.
"I am Queen Kasimira, sole Alpha of the pack known as Irrsin. You will address me with a title--such as Lady, or Miss--in front of my name. Never just my name."
His head turned back around again as she spoke, sighing out his stronger emotions, they were still in the back of his mind but once again under his control so that he might address them when he was alone. So, this wolf was the only alpha of her pack? Perhaps his luck was improving, perhaps he would get to start working on how to get revenge against his brother sooner than he’d imagined. Women were emotional things. Though, this female had not shown him any weakness so far, was she actually different than most? Sitting down again, he dipped his head low, only a few inches from the ground, “Yes, Lady Kasimira" Slowly he raised his head again, ears pricked towards her, offering her his complete attention. No matter his status, he would show himself as more than just a slave.
“I am Kyren.” His words were polite and respectful, but his tone was that of speaking to an equal. Best to learn know what she felt was acceptable, where the line was drawn. Was obedience enough, or were they going to have a lot of debates over how much he was suppose to act like the other whimpering pathetic creatures that were sold on that block?

KASIMIRA “Yes, Lady Kasimira"
Ahh, unlike his brethren in the corrals around them, this male seemed to already know his ranking in regards to her royalty. The she-wolf's fur rippled with pride and she dipped her head in silent acceptance.
“I am Kyren.”
This however, this tone he gave her was not as she had expected. With a quirk of her brow Kasimira gazed at him, daring him to challenge her. She was not a push over, that was for certain and if this male thought otherwise she would be quick to set him straight. Still, it was a minor offense and the heat had warmed her demeanor to the point of being strangely kind and forgiving. Odd.
The she-wolf lifted herself off the ground, taking a moment to stroll confidently around her sklavin, circling him with both her body and eyes, surveying for other possible flaws. It was after a moment of deliberation that she spoke, clear and utterly demanding.
"I can see you are different from the others sold here."
The black vixen's voice was tight as she halted her advances, azure watching, waiting for a response. When none came she continued her command, voice low and a hint of threat lingering.
"Listen carefully to what I have to say, little wolf. I haven't the time to personally take you back to our pack. You will go north from here, through the dark Schreien Forest before striking out more east, towards the packs of Dürkell and Einheit. Once past those you will come to my lands; there will be three wolves waiting for you."
Kasimira paused, collecting her thoughts.
"If you do not arrive by my return, consequences will be administered. I will not hesitate to hunt you down and exact the punishment due to a runaway sklavin. Understood?"
The female neither waited for his response nor dropped her gaze, but dropped her vicious bearings, expression soft.
"Quite possibly, sklavin Kyren, we could be talking about freedom if my wishes, my dictation is followed precisely."
With that the she-wolf leaned back, waiting eagerly for some type of reply. This would be her second slave sent off towards her lands without a master; Kasimira only assumed that Matrid had followed her orders. The sklavin she-wolf had seemed intimidated enough to follow and respect her without question. However this male... Males were simply different. He would need a steady hand to guide him if he was to be of any real use to her.

Kyren continued sitting as she looked him over, his body from head to tail motionless. Let her get a good look, and see that the only true flaw was his eye.
"I can see you are different from the others sold here."
Was there a small smile quirked at the response, one of knowing pride. Certainly there was a flash of acknowledgement in his eyes. For all he obeyed he was certainly not humble by any means. Damn straight he was different than those meant to be sklavin, he was Kyren.
She was going to trust a sklavin, one that did not cower before her and that she had only now just met, to travel alone to where she wished it to go? Either she was foolish, or a better judge of character than he was giving her credit. Then again perhaps she just wanted a little sport and liked the idea of punishing him when he got caught running.
Ah, more wolves to meet. It would be good to meet them when she wasn’t around anyway. Get a chance to know what they were like when the alpha wasn’t there watching every word they spoke. This received a slight nod, and an ear lazily flicking at a fly that decided to be a nuisance.
"Quite possibly, sklavin Kyren, we could be talking about freedom if my wishes, my dictation is followed precisely."
Truth or lie? If one believed such a lie it would make them more willing to obey her for a time, better to accept her authority and hope for true freedom than run and be hunted like prey. Ah, that appeared to be the end of her speech, his turn.
“My lady Kasimira, I will of course do as you say.” Standing he offered another bow, his back legs straight as his body bent vertically downwards, head only an inch from the ground before standing back up to look her in the face, “However, as you said I am different from those pathetic excuses of wolves. I will do as you say, but not because of fear or an offer of possible freedom. I do not lie and I will not run when offered a chance to prove I deserve trust. Not only that, but so long as I am sklavin, I will not just do as you say, but will do what I can to help you accomplish any goals you wish to entrust in my knowledge. I may only be able to see out of one eye, and yet I can still see the broader picture better than most wolves.” This was not to say he would not try to find a means of gaining freedom, or manipulating things to his advantage. However, freedom was so much more than just a title. There are omega’s that run free and yet are not given the time of day for their words are foolish, adults that still think as pups. One means of gaining freedom is not to have a title changed but to gain the respect of those so that they feel it is better to follow you. He would show this alpha female that he was worth more than she could possibly imagine right now. His one eye watched her, not quite staring her in the eyes, and yet his gaze was only as low as about her muzzle. His front shoulers shifted a bit, some restlesness that could not stay hidden, but hell what should be expected? Sklavin!! He'd blind his brother in both eyes in revenge for this!

KASIMIRA “My lady Kasimira, I will of course do as you say.”
With those words the male bowed, his gesture respectful, controlled. The next words he spoke caught Kasimira off guard as she turned away; she was quick to flip an ear towards him before composing herself and her attention on Kyren.
“However, as you said I am different from those pathetic excuses of wolves. I may only be able to see out of one eye, and yet I can still see the broader picture better than most wolves.”
Kasimira rebounded quickly; he kept her on her feet. Interesting.
"Impressive; no one I have met yet has held such passion that you speak with."
The queen's blue eyes rounded on him, surveying with a slightly subdued interest.
"In doing such you claim yourself worthy of freedom. We will see."
Kasimira shot the male a smirking grin before she turned away. The female felt he could be trusted, even more so than she had originally planned. He wasn't that bad looking... Still, as the thought shot steadily through her mind she reprimanded herself; he was a mere sklavin, a useless wolf. She was royalty and obvious much more dignified and to be upheld over wolven society. It was with a contemptuous swish of her tail that she let the growing emotions of a soft liking whisper away like the wind.
The black vixen once again turned to leave before righting herself back, staring right in his glistening eyes.
"I'll see you soon then, Kyren."
It was almost a whisper, a soft melody sang to the trees. Was it just her or did she feel her fur blushing? As well as she could recall she had never called a sklavin by their first name--at least not in a polite or respectful way. What was happening to her? Your getting soft, 'mira... The ebony she-wolf said no more, dipping her azure eyes and vanishing off into the darkness of the night that had slowly fallen on the grounds. It was time for battle. ooc-just to give you her response; quite small. I'd post with him next in ``new chapter in Irrsin! :3[/blockquote]
